Welcome to Pacific Healing Acupuncture and Massage with Emily Head, LAc.

I am a Fort Bragg native, whose plans have always been to open my private practice right here in my home town. I was drawn to Chinese medicine by the philosophy of compassionately treating the whole person, not just the disease or its symptoms. I work with each patient to promote greater balance and well-being by creating an individualized treatment plan – which may include acupuncture, massage, Tuina (Chinese bodywork), Chinese herbs, nutrition, lifestyle counseling and other techniques.

I offer services that draw from both conventional and complementary medicine. Dedicated to helping you achieve your highest potential for wellness, my healing-oriented philosophy focuses on less invasive therapies to help remove barriers that may be blocking your body’s ability to heal. Our history, lifestyle, environment and diet all play important roles in creating illness and imbalance in our bodies and offer important clues for healing.

I believe that my work with my patients and community is a partnership. My work with needles, massage and herbs is only part of your healing process. Our involvement together, along with education will accomplish our goals in your healthcare. My practice and education has given me the opportunity to be a part of a wide variety of patients healing process. I work with men and women’s health, fertility and birth issues, children illnesses, general well-being, nutrition and all modalities of helping you heal yourself. I have witnessed remarkable recoveries in people’s health and well-being leading me to truly be convinced of the power of this ancient healing process. Does Acupuncture really work you may ask? I can say, without doubt, “Yes it does!”

As my patient, I will involve you in the healing process – empowering you by clarifying the connection between the choices you make on a daily basis and how those choices affect your health – mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. My practice focuses on the comprehensive assessment and treatment of disharmony in the body. The resulting awareness, combined with the healing effects of Chinese medicine and acupuncture is extremely effective in the treatment of both acute and chronic disorders.

I strongly believe that all of us are entitled to helping ourselves heal. Because of this I offer my acupuncture treatments on income based payments (see schedule and fees) For your convenience, I accept most major insurance companies, including auto accident and Worker’s Comp claims. If you are interested in becoming a new patient, I am happy to work with you to better understand if your insurance benefits cover my services.
